Today we are bringing you the preview version of KDE's Plasma 5.27 release. Plasma 5.27 Beta is aimed at testers, developers, and bug-hunters. As well as our lightweight and feature rich Linux Desktop this release adds a Bigscreen version of Plasma for use on televisions. To help KDE developers iron out bugs and solve issues, install Plasma 5. Screencasting, the Magnifier and Zoom effects, the new Flatpak Permissions settings, and support for Flatpak apps were improved as well in this second maintenance update to the long-term supported KDE Plasma 5.27 LTS desktop environment series. These are the settings apps loaded by clicking the tray icons (KDE Connect, Audio) and the settings apps found in the Settings menu n the desktop. Since this is still a normal plasma-desktop install, the original settings app works. This exposes all the setting like a normal KDE plasma-desktop install, like global themes. Good Luck and enjoy!!!
Here are a few great choices, all using the latest Plasma desktop. XeroLinux. Garuda. Big Linux. Manjaro. Calam-Arch-Installer. I installedl KDE-plasma-desktop on top of my already working Mint 21.1 install (tried a fresh kubuntu, but the Nvidia driver wouldn’t work). Everything works great, but I realized that somehow, from the Mint/Ubuntu IylFcvG.
