Tried to resolve this by downloading SilentASI and the mouse fix, but it doesn't seem to recognize the game version (nor does ModLoader). My OS is Windows 10, and according to the version.txt file on the main folder, the game version seems to be 1.0.0.22. Also, the game did crash once in the first cutscene.

Well, if the mouse not working in SA, you can run the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7, Vista, or XP. Open the folder where the GTA San Andreas game is installed. By default, the path is “C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto\San Andreas”.
A new OS means trying to find new patches for software, or new Drivers to run the current hardware, which might not exist. So if there is no immediate need to replace current OS, it is a waste to upgrade. Wait until you buy your new replacement machine, and save all the effort. 1. Steam version. PldQYr.
