Okay. You don't need to have played GTA IV in order to understand the story in TLaD, but you will miss out on some parts of the story and it also contains some GTA IV spoilers. The plots do intersect indeed. Same goes for TBoGT. I highly recommend you finish that mission.
Posted February 15, 2018. I'd have to say Vice City & the reasons being 1)Atmosphere. 2)1980's. 3)Vehicles. 4)Bright Neon Color's. 5)Better Map. Yes it's considered the smallest map , but i think it's a lot better then Liberty City & San Andreas simply because the vibe of Vice City & the time period.
GTA:LCS is a prequel, and the stage is set three years before the events of GTAIII happened in 2001. There is a different main character (Tony Cipriani) with his very own story missions. That being said, if you enjoyed GTAIII, you will probably enjoy coming back to Liberty City to play through more of the GTA saga.
